Who can use Lending services?

OSU Health Sciences Library Lending services are for users who are:

1. Not otherwise affiliated with Ohio State University as students, staff, or faculty. Please visit this page to register if you are affiliated.
2. Not members of DOCLINE or OCLC. DOCLINE libraries may request from the Health Sciences Library at symbol OHUOSU, and OCLC libraries may use symbol OS2.

How much does this service cost?

• Loans and Articles cost $10 per filled request. The Health Sciences Library invoices monthly. We can accept checks and money orders.

Why was my request cancelled?

• The Health Sciences Library has a rich collection, but like any library items can be in use already, go missing, or their condition may prevent us from safely reformatting the item. Many of our license agreements prevent delivery of eBook chapters and PDFs to non-affiliated users. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you accept Loansome Doc requests?

• The Health Sciences Library is phasing out its support of Loansome Doc. Although we are able to manage Loansome Doc requests currently, this may not always be the case.

Why don't I see all my older requests when I look at my request history?

From time to time we purge older records from ILLiad. Our policy is to keep requests online for several years order to comply with record keeping requirements of the copyright law.

Why does my browser say that you're sending a cookie? What's in it?

The technology that we use sends a Session ID to be stored on your machine. You can refuse this cookie and still use our services without any problems.
